View this post on Instagram Before we filmed 96 year old Pierina we thought crescia sfogliata was going to be a type of flatbread. How wrong we were. It’s a strudel and I have no idea if 100 years ago (or more) someone in Pontile came back from a visit to Austria with the recipe, or it was an indigenous invention in this remote little hamlet. Either way, Pierina’s skill is extraordinary.
